About Me

 Brown Girls in the Ring creates warm feelings of nostalgia for me every time I hear the phrase or song. As a young girl growing up in the Caribbean, our social times in the schoolyard were filled with lots of laughter, connection, and camaraderie. I didn’t know it then, but as I look back, I realize that it was those times of play, that taught me how to be a friend, how to leave the worries of all that would rob me of my childhood, and embrace each moment, celebrating my beautiful existence.  This is the hope I desire to bring to you with this blog. I want to help create a ring of safety, where you can feel heard, experience camaraderie, acceptance, and validation.  Join me in the "Ring". You won't regret your time spent here with me.
